Our 12-Month Mould Remediation Guarantee

At Active Specialist Services, we take pride in the quality of our work and offer a 12-month conditional guaranteeon qualifying mould remediation treatments.

Our guarantee covers the recurrence of mould in the specific areas treated by our technicians, subject to the completion and ongoing maintenance of any necessary preventative measures identified during our inspection or treatment.

Recommendations & Guarantee Conditions

Mould growth is often caused by underlying issues such as water leaks, inadequate insulation, poor ventilation, excessive humidity or restricted airflow.

Where contributing factors are identified, we will provide recommendations to help prevent mould from returning. These may include repairing leaks, improving insulation or ventilation, installing extractor fans, using dehumidifiers or maintaining sufficient airflow around furniture and external walls.

Where recommendations are identified as essential to preventing mould recurrence, our guarantee cannot be issued until the necessary corrective measures have been completed and verified by Active Specialist Services.

Certain recommendations, such as maintaining adequate ventilation, controlling humidity and keeping furniture appropriately positioned, must also be followed throughout the guarantee period.

Our guarantee does not cover mould recurrence caused by unresolved or new moisture problems, building defects, inadequate ventilation, restricted airflow or failure to follow essential recommendations, where those circumstances have contributed to the recurrence.

Guarantee Activation & Duration

Once the required corrective measures have been completed and verified, we may issue a 12-month guarantee certificate.

The guarantee period begins on the original completion date of the mould remediation treatment, regardless of when the certificate is issued, and applies only to the treated areas specified in the certificate.

Any reported mould recurrence will be assessed to determine whether it falls within the scope of the guarantee.

This guarantee is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
